CHAIR, Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Genetics
University of North Texas Health at Fort Worth

UNT Health seeks an accomplished scientist and academic leader to serve as Chair of the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Genetics within the College of Biomedical and Translational Sciences.

The department includes faculty whose work spans microbiology, immunology, genetics, cancer biology, health disparities, and translational science. The next Chair will provide academic and administrative leadership while maintaining an active research program and supporting faculty, students, and trainees.

Qualifications

  • PhD, MD, DO or equivalent terminal degree in microbiology, immunology, genetics, or a closely related biomedical discipline.
  • Eligibility for appointment at the rank of Professor with tenure in CBTS.
  • Demonstrated record of sustained extramural research funding.
  • Evidence of effective leadership, administration, and mentorship in an academic or research-intensive environment.
  • Strong commitment to education and trainee development.
