FASEB - Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology

The American Aging Association is a full member of FASEB (Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology). FASEB is made up of 30 scientific member societies, representing over 130,000 researchers from around the world. The members are scientific societies that share a common vison for the advancement of research and education in biological and biomedical sciences.

As a Member of FASEB, AGE is actively involved in steering the Federation and creating new policies and content. Many of the benefits to members are described in detail here: https://www.faseb.org/membership.

The American Aging Association has been a member of FASEB since 2017 with AGE member representation on FASEB’s Board, Science Policy Committee, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility and Inclusion Committee, Excellence in Science Committee, and Science Research Conferences Advisory Committee.

Members of three committees (Science Policy Committee, Excellence in Science Committee and Science Research Conferences Advisory Committee) will need renewal (same or new AGE member) in 2022 and the Board position will need a new person to be appointed in 2023.

We encourage all AGE Members to consider serving on a FASEB committee. If you would like to nominate yourself for one of the open positions, please send a brief description of which committee you would like to serve on and why this is of interest to you to the AGE Central Office.
